Aluminium windows
Dear visitor,
We are repeatedly asked for the CNC / CAD drawings of the aluminum windows and / or address of the manufactorer. Unfortunately, the manufacturing of the windows was a single action. This means that the CNC / CAD drawings are not available and that the windows can not be manufactured again. If you are interested in new (aluminum) windows you can better contact Steve Birch (steve@albinvega.com) or visit: http://www.albinvega.co.uk/windows.html
Liebe Besucher.
We started with preparing a CNC/CAD drawing

Next the CNC milling machine was programmed and the milling process continued.

The final exterior window frame, milled out of a massive aluminum plate and subsequently annodised.

For the interior frames I made use of Ocumé 8 mm plywood. For watertight seals on the exterior frames I used professional Scotsch 3M car coachwork sealantand for the interior frames I used glassfoam tape to seal it off.

Here you see the result of the two small windows in the forecabine. For attatching the frames to the cabine I made use of 5 mm stainless steel bolts with teflon rings for watertight seals (and to prevent corrosion between aluminium and stainless steel).

The result! The windows in the frames are made of 6 mm Smokecoloured Lexan®. Extremely strong and it prevents people from looking in.
